Kemlan Slow Combustion Wood Fireplaces — Supplied & Installed by Zac Power

Kemlan Slow Combustion Wood Fireplaces — Supplied & Installed by Zac Power

If your current wood heater is more than 10 to 15 years old, there’s a good chance it’s working harder than it should — and putting far less heat into your home than you’re paying for in firewood.

Old slow combustion heaters lose efficiency over time. Baffles crack, door seals fail, glass fogs permanently, and what was once a warm living room becomes a space where the fire just doesn’t seem to do much anymore.

At Zac Power, we supply and install the Kemlan range by Jetmaster. Proudly Australian made, designed specifically for Australian conditions, Australian hardwood, and Australian homes. Kemlan has been manufacturing wood heaters in Brisbane for over 50 years, and every unit is built to a standard that shows.

Every Kemlan heater features a preheated primary airwash system that keeps the ceramic glass clean during burn, complies with Australian Standards AS 2918 and AS 4013, runs well below current emission requirements, and carries a 10-year warranty. These are not imported heaters tuned for softwoods — they are built for the way Australians burn wood.

Kemlan XL Freestanding

The Kemlan XL is built for homes that take their heating seriously. With a peak output of 21.6kW, it handles large open-plan living areas, high-ceiling spaces, and homes that genuinely struggle to retain heat through a Central West winter.

The firebox is firebrick-lined with ceramic sides and an 8mm steel back plate — built to last decades, not years. A large ceramic glass viewing area gives you an unobstructed flame view, kept clean by a preheated airwash system even during extended burns. A three-speed fan comes standard, distributing heat evenly throughout the room.

Available in black, charcoal, metallic black, or titanium — it suits everything from a traditional country home to a modern build.

Kemlan Tempo Grand

The Tempo Grand is a bold upgrade to the popular Tempo series — larger, more powerful, and designed for homes that need reliable heat across substantial living spaces. It covers between 180 and 260 square metres, making it a strong performer for most family homes in the region.

It accepts logs up to 450mm in length for longer burn times and greater convenience. A preheated primary airwash system keeps the ceramic glass clear, and the natural convection system circulates warmth evenly throughout the room. An optional three-speed fan is available for those who want enhanced heat distribution.

It also features a cooktop surface — a practical bonus if you want to get more out of your fire on a cold night.

The Tempo Grand is available with legs, a pedestal base, or the Meridian base for a more architectural look. Three solid base options mean it suits a range of interior styles, from traditional to contemporary.

Kemlan Halo 800 Freestanding

The Halo 800 is the flagship of the range. With a heating capacity of up to 360 square metres, it is built for large homes, open-plan entertainer layouts, or anyone who wants a fireplace that genuinely owns the space it heats.

The firebox is constructed from 6mm folded steel and fitted with n14 pyro ceramic baffles — engineered to handle extended, high-intensity burns without degradation. Its emission rate of just 1.1g/kg places it among the cleanest burning wood heaters available in Australia, sitting well beneath the national standard of 4.0g/kg.

Visually, the Halo 800 makes a statement. The wide-format ceramic glass viewing area and clean contemporary lines make it as much a design feature as a heating appliance. Available as a freestanding unit or with the Meridian base for an elevated, architectural finish.
